Thank you to Erik for setting it up! I know that forums (fora?) are out of style, but I miss them! I used to be involved in several (before they migrated to Facebook ) and it was great to be able to have multiple threaded discussions going on various topics, in a somewhat organized way. I hope it catches on; it's one more place to visit so it has that against it. We'll see.

One thing that would be nice, for other forums, is federation. If only someone were working on that...

I second this. I have been so frustrated with attempts to coordinate various people who have quite different thinking through chat items like Discord or Wire, or FaceBook.

This Forum gives us an opportunity to explain in great detail, for newcomers to understand what has been discussed up to now, and to provide a repository for significant information that must be accessed multiple times.
